WINNIPEG, MB, November 2026: Ontario-based Bleacher Rentals has acquired the bleacher rental division of D&M Rentals in Winnipeg, including its 300-seat and 30-seat mobile units. The move extends the company’s Canadian footprint westward and provides event organizers around Winnipeg a team focused solely on mobile seating.
The Bleacher Rentals team is excited to meet with local organizers and begin planning their upcoming events, and several of D&M’s longtime customers have already booked them for their 2027 events.
D&M Rentals is focusing on what it does best: being a one-stop shop for tents, tables and chairs, staging and kids’ bouncers.
“We decided to focus on one thing: entertainment rentals,” said Kevin Derksen, owner of D&M Rentals. “I’m confident our bleacher customers are in good hands with Bleacher Rentals. And we want to say a huge thank you to our community for the support it’s shown us over the years.”
The Bleacher Rentals motto is “We exist to bring people together, by supporting events that unite and inspire community.” Bleacher Rentals started in Nixon, Ontario, after its founders ran their own rodeo and found that safe, compliant mobile bleachers just weren’t available. So they built their own.
Today the company has more than 100 bleacher units at hubs across North America. It has seated crowds at thousands of rodeos, fairs, festivals, sporting events, graduations and community celebrations, and earned more than 100 five-star reviews on Google along the way.
